This archaeological publication covers the development, definition classification, and world-wide deployment of the lithic bipoint and includes numerous bipoint photographs, drawings, and maps. Lithic bipoint technology originated 75,000 years ago, and it continued to the invention of metal tools. It was brought into the U.S. on both coasts: the Pacific Coast around 17,000 and the Atlantic Coast was around 23,000 years ago. Book also includes photographs, drawings, and discussion off Virginia’s Cinmar bipoint which dates 22,760 years. And, the Marion County bipoint is discussed as being 16,400 years.
